Health Catalyst’s Data and Analytics Platform earned HITRUST Risk-based, 2-year (r2) Certified status for information security.
The certification demonstrates that the data platform meets key compliance requirements included across a wide range of industry standards and frameworks, as well as federal and state regulations. The open, flexible, and scalable data platform allows healthcare organizations to integrate and organize disparate and previously siloed data sources, providing a single source of truth that enables real-time analytics.
The r2 Certification received on September 28, 2022, places Health Catalyst’s data platform on the leading frontier of industry best practices for information risk management and compliance. Designed and purpose-built to meet the unique aspects of healthcare data, including healthcare-specific terminology, data governance, and metadata management, the data platform provides customers with increased data management capabilities and repeatable data analytics. Its industry-specific data models are also easily integrated with other workflows, such as Electronic Medical Records (EMR), providing customers with the tools to turn insights into timely action.
Incorporating a widely accepted risk-based approach, the HITRUST Assurance Program helps address security and data protection challenges through a comprehensive and flexible framework of prescriptive and scalable security controls.
“In today’s ever-changing threat landscape, HITRUST is continually innovating to find new and creative approaches to address challenges,” said Jeremy Huval, Chief Innovation Officer at HITRUST. “Health Catalyst’s HITRUST Risk-based, 2-year Certification is evidence that they are at the forefront of industry best practices for information risk management and compliance.”
